After the pioneers of social networking sites circulated a video clip of Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, as a guest on the "Youth Parliament" program, escalations were triggered by Saudi Arabia against Lebanon, causing a wave of interactions on social platforms.
Activists that stood in solidarity with Kordahi considered that he has the right to express himself, pointing out that "the war on Yemen is truly futile, as the Lebanese minister said."

From Egypt, activists supported the minister's words and tweeted with the hashtag "#George_Kordahi_represents_me" in Arabic.

In Yemen, tweeters were impressed by what they described as "Kordahi's steadfastness" for principles after he refused to apologize for his words.

One of the Yemeni activists pointed out that Kordahi was not afraid of anyone and was speaking words of truth.

It is noteworthy that on Friday, Saudi Arabia summoned its ambassador from Lebanon for consultations, while it asked the ambassador of Lebanon to leave the Kingdom within 48 hours, and decided to stop all Lebanese imports to the kingdom.
For his part, a member of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi, called for an emergency meeting and a decision to ban Saudi products from entering Yemen, in response to the crisis surrounding Kordahi's statements.
