Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned United States President Donald Trump, accusing him of spreading falsehoods about Iran’s nuclear program and being misled by Israeli deception.
His remarks followed an earlier statement by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which condemned Trump’s address at the Israeli Knesset as “irresponsible and shameful.”
In a post on X, Araghchi said it was “more than clear” that Trump had been “badly fed the fake line” that Iran’s peaceful nuclear program was on the verge of weaponization. He described this claim as a “BIG LIE", emphasizing that even the US intelligence community had confirmed there was “zero proof” of such allegations.
It is more than clear by now that POTUS has been badly fed the fake line that Iran’s peaceful nuclear program was on the verge of weaponization this spring. That is simply a BIG LIE and he should have been informed that there is zero proof of that, as confirmed by his own…

“The real bully of the Middle East, Mr. President, is the same parasitic actor that has long been bullying and milking the United States,” Araghchi declared, referring to “Israel".

'President of Peace' or 'President of War'?
Araghchi questioned Trump’s credibility, accusing him of pretending to pursue diplomacy and a peace prize while waging wars.
“One can hardly be branded as President of Peace while provoking endless wars and aligning with war criminals,” he wrote, adding, “Mr. Trump can either be a President of Peace or a President of War, but he cannot be both.”
Iran’s Foreign Ministry echoed this sentiment in an earlier statement, noting that Trump’s rhetoric of dialogue contradicts Washington’s record of aggression against Iran and Palestine.

Iran open to dialogue, but will not yield to aggression
Despite denouncing US actions, Araghchi reaffirmed that Iran “has always been open to respectful and mutually beneficial diplomatic engagement,” stressing that “the noble heirs of an ancient, rich civilization respond to goodwill with goodwill.”
“Iranians, relying on their rich cultural and historical heritage, are people of reason, dialogue, and engagement, and at the same time will act with courage and resolve to defend Iran’s independence, national dignity, and supreme interests,” the minister asserted in his X post..
'Stop blaming Iran for normalization'
Concluding his remarks, Araghchi agreed with Trump on one point: that Iran should not be used as a pretext for Arab states’ normalization with the Israeli occupation entity.
“If someone wants to throw the Palestinians under the bus while embracing a genocidal entity that thirsts to devour the whole region, they should have the guts to take full responsibility for it in front of their people and not blame others,” he wrote.
By linking "Israel’s" assassinations of Iranian scientists and US strikes on Iranian facilities to so-called “regional peace", Trump, analysts say, seeks to frame Iran’s subjugation as a prerequisite for normalization. Tehran, however, maintains that the US–Israeli alliance represents the greatest source of instability and aggression in West Asia, and that resistance, not submission, remains the only path to lasting security and dignity.

Iran: 'US has no moral standing to accuse others'
The Foreign Ministry earlier described the US as the world’s “largest sponsor of terrorism” and the primary backer of the “terrorist and genocidal Israeli regime,” stressing that Washington has “no moral standing” to accuse Iran of wrongdoing.
It condemned Washington’s direct and indirect involvement in Israeli genocidal crimes in Palestine, its obstruction of UN accountability mechanisms, and its role in arming “Israel” and fueling regional instability. “America’s interventionist policies in the region, its support for occupation and the crimes of the genocidal Israeli regime, together with unlimited arms sales to the region, have made the United States the foremost source of instability and insecurity,” the Ministry stated.
