"Seven missiles originating from the areas of the SDF militants fell in the northern countryside of Aleppo, inside Turkish territory, on the border with Syria," Al Mayadeen correspondent in Syria stated on tuesday.

"Turkish artillery shelling targeted the city of Tal Rifat and the Menagh military airport in the northern countryside of Aleppo" following the missile attack, the correspondent added without giving details about the targets or losses.

Al Mayadeen correspondent in Syria reported on Sunday that Turkish warplanes bombed a number of villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo and north of Al-Raqqa.

Our correspondent said the Turkish army shelled several villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo and fired missile barrages at the positions of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Al-Malikiyah area, north of Al-Hasakah, and Ain Issa area, north of Al-Raqqa.

The large scale air raids campaign by Turkey on areas across Northern and Eastern #Syria since this weekend show us that these attacks are approved by Russia & the U.S. as #Turkey is using the airspace that is controlled by both the U.S. and Russia #TwitterKurds https://t.co/R7qhX6oXxz

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Monday that a missile attack that targeted a Turkish city bordering Syria resulted in three deaths.

The minister stated that the missiles targeted the Turkish city of Karkamis, killing a child in addition to two others, while six were injured.

Al Mayadeen correspondent stated that Turkish authorities accuse the PKK and the SDF of firing missiles at Turkish territory from northern Syria.

Earlier today, Turkish drones targeted in a first a joint base belonging to the International Coalition and the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the western Al-Hasakah Dam, killing two SDF members and wounding 3 others.

Al Mayadeen's sources confirmed that the bombing targeted the headquarters of the SDF Special Forces a few meters away from the headquarters of the US occupation's base in the Life Stone resort and the residence of the Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, Mazloum Abdi.

The wave of Turkish operations comes without any noticeable ground movements so far, despite previous hints made by Turkish President Recep Erdogan that the "Claw-Sword" air operation will not remain confined to airstrikes and that Turkey is currently studying the number of forces that may participate in a ground operation, with Turkish media leaks suggesting that preparation for the ground invasion had already started, and the issue of its official launch is just a matter of time.
