The number of Palestinians killed as a result of the Israeli war on Gaza has risen to 48,397 martyrs, with 111,824 people injured since October 7, 2023, the Health Ministry in the enclave confirmed on Monday.
In its daily report, the Ministry recorded the arrival of nine martyrs, four retrieved from under the rubble and five just killed by Israeli attacks, at hospitals across the Gaza Strip, along with 21 injuries, over 48 hours.
It noted that several victims remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as emergency and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
Since the ceasefire agreement in Gaza took effect on January 19, 2025, and until the conclusion of its first phase Saturday evening, Israeli forces committed more than 900 violations, according to Ismail al-Thawabta, Director General of the Government Media Office.
With the end of the ceasefire agreement’s first phase, senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan listed the key violations that "Israel" committed during that phase.
In a televised statement, Hamdan noted that the Israeli occupation forces committed 962 field violations. These included 219 aerial operations, 77 shootings, 45 ground incursions, and 37 bombardments and targeted attacks.
He further stated that the number of Palestinians killed due to Israeli violations since the ceasefire took effect has reached 116, with 490 others wounded.
The Palestinian official also mentioned that Israeli occupation forces detained drivers and fishermen on five separate occasions.
