Russia, Iran, and Turkey condemned the repeated Israeli aggression on Syria, which violates international and humanitarian law.
Russia, Turkey, and Iran have expressed their opposition to "Israel's" use of civilian aircraft to cover up the aggression against Syria, which endangers the lives of civilians.
In a statement following the 17th International Meeting on Syria in the Astana format held in the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan, the three parties condemned the repeated Israeli aggression on Syria, which violates international and humanitarian law and undermines the sovereignty of Syria and neighboring countries.
The three countries also agreed to put efforts to improve the situation in the de-escalation zone in Idlib, as well as fight terrorism and eliminate terrorist groups.
They emphasized that long-term security and stability in Idlib can only be achieved on the basis of preserving Syria’s sovereignty and integrity.
Prior to the start of the talks, the Russian president's special envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, expressed his concern about the increased activity of terrorist groups in most parts of Syria.
It is noteworthy that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met on November 17 with Lavrentiev along with his accompanying delegation and discussed the latest political developments regarding the Astana format and the joint periodic meeting of the Syrian-Russian coordination committees on the return of refugees, held in Damascus.
