Bahraini foreign ministry official: Mossad is in Bahrain
Bahraini undersecretary for the Foreign Ministry, Abdulla Al Khalifa, says that there is intelligence cooperation between Bahrain and Israel.
Israeli media reported that the Bahraini Foreign Ministry's undersecretary, Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the Mossad is operating in Bahrain. Al Khalifa made these remarks during the Munich Security Conference, in a session with Israeli Security Minister Benny Gantz.
“There is intelligence cooperation between Bahrain and Israel. Mossad is in Bahrain and they’re present in the region," Al Khalifa said.
The undersecretary further added that his country is cooperating with the Israeli apartheid regime in the interest of "security and stability."
“If this security cooperation between Bahrain and Israel would mean providing more stability and security, so be it, if it would mean saving the lives of innocent civilians, so be it. That is why, during a number of visits for the head of Mossad to Bahrain, that was publicly announced in the Bahrain news agency.”
Abdulla Al Khalifa made these remarks only days after the Israeli regime's Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and after the two regimes signed a joint security agreement early in February.
“The head of Mossad was received by his counterpart in Bahrain so we do believe security cooperation, intelligence cooperation is part of our ongoing partnership between Bahrain and Israel and will continue.”

Israeli website Walla! called the remarks extremely unusual as they were very public and direct.
The issues of Iran and security cooperation were both key in the talks between Israeli PM Bennett, the King of Bahrain, and the heir apparent, that took place last week in Manama, according to the site.
It was further reported that Bennett wants to build a regional alliance against Iran and develop a response to Iranian UAVs. "The goal is to produce a network of alliances in the area," Bennett told reporters during the visit.
