A Belgian court ordered a halt to all weapon exports to "Israel", amid its continuing genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 55,000 Palestinians since October 7.
According to a report by Belgian news agency Belga, a court in Brussels issued a ruling on Thursday that requires the regional Flemish government to immediately cease all transit of military equipment to "Israel".
The Antwerp-Bruges port, which is among Europe's largest, is located in this region.
This comes as "Israel" continues to kill dozens of Palestinians on a daily basis in the Gaza Strip, whether through airstrikes or live fire, while the starved seek aid from Israeli-US-run aid distribution centers.
The United Nations Human Rights Office has denounced the persistent killings of Palestinians at aid distribution sites throughout Gaza, describing the situation as "unacceptable," with spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani stating that between May 27 and July 7, at least 798 Palestinians were killed while trying to obtain food.
In a July 15 statement, Shamdasani reported that 615 of these fatalities occurred near aid centers run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), while 183 others were killed along humanitarian convoy routes, with the majority of victims sustaining fatal gunshot wounds.
Shamdasani stated that her office is currently investigating a recent Israeli airstrike in Deir al-Balah, which, according to reports, killed at least 15 Palestinians, including women and children, outside a clinic operated by Project Hope, an organization linked to UNICEF.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached a catastrophic point, with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) raising an urgent alarm on July 15 about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, disclosing that malnutrition has now affected one in every ten children screened at its medical facilities.
The alarming data from UNRWA matches reports from other UN agencies, including UNICEF, which recorded more than 5,800 cases of child malnutrition in June, among which over 1,000 involved severe acute malnutrition. In northern Gaza, nearly one-third of children under two years old are now suffering from acute malnutrition.
