Belize suspends diplomatic ties with 'Israel' over war on Gaza
The government of Belize criticizes the Israeli occupation's siege of Gaza and its violation of international law.
Referencing what it called "unceasing indiscriminate bombing in Gaza" as Israeli troops target innocent Palestinians under the guise of eradicating Hamas, the Belizean government announced severing diplomatic ties with "Israel" on Tuesday.

The government of the Central American nation has repeatedly condemned the actions of the IOF in Gaza and criticized the Israeli occupation's siege of Gaza and its violation of international law.
According to the government's press release, Belize appealed to the Israeli occupation to implement an immediate ceasefire and allow the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip to no avail.
"Despite our requests, Israel has not stopped its violations of international humanitarian law nor allowed relief workers to alleviate the suffering of millions of Gazans," the release read.
With this decision, Belize is following in the footsteps of a fellow country in Central America. Honduras, on November 3, recalled its ambassador to "Israel" for consultations citing the latter's violations of international humanitarian law in its aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Down south, the South American nations of Colombia and Chile recalled their ambassadors from "Israel" on November 1, as the Israeli occupation continues its policy of committing genocide in Gaza.
Meanwhile, in a more drastic measure, the Bolivian government announced on November 1 that it is severing diplomatic relations with "Israel". The country's Foreign Ministry cited "Israel's" actions in the Gaza Strip as a reason, accusing it of committing crimes against humanity.
Pressure mounting on US administration
In a letter to President Biden on Tuesday, more than 400 political appointees and employees from over 40 government departments expressed their disapproval of his blind support for "Israel" and its war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
The letter urges Biden to push for a ceasefire and pressure "Israel" to allow humanitarian aid and is part of a larger campaign of dissatisfaction with Biden's support for the occupation.
Previously, an open letter was signed by over a thousand employees of the US Agency for International Development, in addition to three internal memos addressed to Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, signed by numerous State Department employees.
US State Dept memo demands ceasefire in Gaza, change in ‘Israel’ policy
On Monday, a State Department dissent memo accused US President Joe Biden of "spreading misinformation" on the war on Gaza and acknowledged that "Israel" is committing "war crimes" in the Strip, as per a copy of the memo obtained by Axios.
The memo, organized by a junior diplomat who has previously indicated on social media that President Biden's support for "Israel" implicates him in genocide in Gaza, reveals significant internal divisions within the Biden administration regarding the war on Gaza.
Signed by 100 US personnel, the memo calls on senior US officials to reconsider their policy toward "Israel" and push for a ceasefire in Gaza, where more than 11,000 Palestinians have been killed including over 4,500 children due to the brutal Israeli aggression, as per the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Primarily, the memo's writers center on the aggressive actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Gazans. As Biden barely expressed worries about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza while vowing unwavering support for Gaza, the memo contends that Biden should intensify his scrutiny of Israeli actions.
