Despite these challenges, UNRWA affirmed its commitment to providing essential learning activities to students, emphasizing the critical importance of education as a fundamental human right.

'Israel' deliberately reduced Gaza schools, health centers to rubble

Last month, a Geneva-based rights group accused "Israel" of deliberately demolishing schools and medical facilities, including those operated by UNRWA, during its ongoing genocide in Gaza.

According to a statement released by the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor (Euro-Med), Israeli attacks destroyed several schools and a medical clinic in Gaza City's al-Zaytoun neighborhood, forcing numerous families to be forcibly displaced.

'Israel' killed over 100 scholars, academics in Gaza genocide

The Israeli occupation forces had murdered more than 100 scholars and academics during the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, the government media office in Gaza said on May 16.

At the time, the government office further pointed out that this step was a clear message from the Israeli occupation that it aims to completely eliminate scientists and researchers in the educational sector.

In its latest report, the Ministry of Education in #Palestine found that around 620,000 students have been unable to continue their education since "Israel's" war on #Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

More than 103 universities and schools in Gaza have been completely destroyed and another 311 suffered from damages of varying severity.

The government media office in Gaza also condemned the Israeli occupation's assassination of scientists, academics, university professors, and researchers, calling on all universities and educational sectors all over the world to condemn this crime, which falls within the framework of genocide.
