Biden: Trump a threat to 'American democracy'
At a reception in Los Angeles this past week, US President Joe Biden revealed his worries about Trump's presidential campaign, claiming he poses a threat to democracy.
Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden spoke at a Boston reception in Massachusetts and stated that he is uncertain about running for the presidential elections in 2024 if former President Donald Trump is not running.
Biden continued to share his worries about Trump's campaigning, as he "posed a threat to American democracy".
"I believe, the future of American democracy is at stake. Literally, it all is at stake. Let me be clear. Donald Trump poses many threats to the country, from the right to choose to civil rights to voting rights to America's standing in the world. But the greatest threat Trump poses is to our democracy because if we lose that, we lose everything," he said at another reception in Los Angeles.
Despite Biden's confidence in Trump posing a "threat", a recent poll by The Wall Street Journal revealed that 49% of US voters saw benefits from Trump's political agenda when he was president, as opposed to the 53% who were harmed by Biden's.
Trump is officially running for president in 2024, slightly surpassing Biden in the race, several polls revealed.

Trump vs. Biden: the Gaza war
The WSJ poll in question indicated that only 23% of respondents rated Biden's policies as beneficial to them, and 44% believe Trump is more capable than Biden of handling the current war on Gaza.
According to a Pew Research Center poll released Friday, only a third of Americans approve of the Biden administration's reaction to the war on Gaza.
The Israeli genocide in Gaza and the US backing of the aggression has been the biggest foreign policy challenge for the current administration, followed by the Ukraine war.
Last month, Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told Anadolu that Muslim voters would not support US President Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election because he betrayed Palestinians and permitted the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
In an interview, Awad claimed that Biden "ignored" Muslims in Gaza, and as a result, they would disregard him at the polls the next year.
Anadolu quoted Awad as saying that Biden was told, "If you do not call for an immediate ceasefire [in Gaza], you will not get our votes in 2024," adding that there was "no possibility" of receiving any support from Biden.
Awad called Biden's support for "Israel" "completely one-sided" and emphasized that the US has provided the Israelis with a "carte blanche to use excessive force against civilians."
