Biden says average gas prices in US is $3.19, which is not the case
US President Joe Biden says on Twitter that the average price for a gallon of gasoline in the United States is 3.19$ which contradicts data released by the AAA which states the average price is $3.8.
US President Joe Biden Tweeted on Sunday what is assumed to be inaccurate information with regard to average gasoline prices in the US.
According to figures from the American Automobile Association (AAA), the average price of a gallon of gasoline at gas stations is $3.8, while Biden claimed it is $3.19 which is around 20% lower than the data provided by the association.

According to AAA data, the only US states with gas prices under $3.2 are Texas and Georgia.
Biden's gamble to calm energy markets and protect the US economy from the imposed sanctions on Russia, which led to an energy crisis, was to take the largest-ever dive into emergency oil stockpiles, which are generally reserved for responding to crises such as hurricane-related shutdowns at oil refineries.

As Washington tries to control the nation's gas prices, US President Joe Biden's decisions this year have led to a serious depletion of the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
According to statistics released by the US Department of Energy, the US emergency oil reserves this week included just 416.4 million barrels, which is the lowest amount since 1984.
Biden also tries to pin rising inflation and prices in the US on Russia and Saudi Arabia after OPEC+ decided to cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day starting November.
It is worth noting that the economic situation which is affecting the financial standpoints of American families and businesses is burdening US President Joe Biden's popularity, which will affect his chances of winning the midterm congressional elections which will take place on November 8.
