Blinken, Polish counterpart discuss “means of dealing with Russia”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the 'unshakeable' commitment of the US to transatlantic security considering it the cornerstone for regional stability and prosperity.
The Secretary reaffirmed strong US support for Poland’s security as it continues to 'deal with' alleged Belarus’ exploitation of vulnerable migrants.
In a phone call with his Polish counterpart, Zbigniew Rau, Blinken stressed his country’s strong support for Poland's security while continuing to confront alleged "Belarus' exploitation of vulnerable migrants."
Blinken and Rau asserted firm commitment to Ukraine’s “independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity in the face of continued Russian aggression,” and the US Secretary informed the Polish Foreign Minister of the US efforts to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine diplomatically.
The top US diplomat expressed appreciation for President Duda’s veto of the media ownership law, noting that it constituted “a vital contribution to safeguarding freedom of expression, the sanctity of contracts, and the shared values that underpin our relationship.
It is worth noting that last month, Polish Prime Minister Matusz Morawiecki said that he "does not rule out that the escalation on the border with Belarus will be dragged into a war", against the background of the presence of refugees near the border.
