The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation committed four massacres against families in the Strip, killing 23 people and injuring 101, in 24 hours only.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Strip since October 7 to 41,638, in addition to 96,460 injuries as the war marks its 361th day, according to the Ministry.

It noted that thousands of victims of the aggression remain trapped under the rubble and on roads inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews, as the occupation continues to prevent rescue teams from reaching them.

Another massacre in UN-run Gaza school; 7 killed in Israeli strike

Earlier today, at least seven Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on a school for displaced individuals in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israeli warplanes targeted the UN-run Shuja'iyya School in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City on Tuesday. Reports from Palestinian sources indicated that the attack resulted in multiple injuries as well.

This incident raised the total number of shelters and centers struck by Israel to 185 since the war escalated last October. Additionally, Oxfam reported that Israeli explosive weapons continue to target civilian infrastructure in Gaza, including schools and hospitals, approximately every three hours.

Oxfam reported that Israeli explosive weapons strike schools and hospitals every four days on average.

War on Gaza endless nightmare: Lazzarini

Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini said that after almost a year, the war on Gaza has become an "endless nightmare," adding that the Strip has become unlivable.

Lazzarini affirmed at a press conference in Geneva that the people of Gaza are facing disease, death, and hunger, with mountains of garbage and sewage filling the streets.

They are now trapped in 10 percent of the land after repeated displacement across the Strip.

The UNRWA Commissioner-General highlighted the plight of children, who represent half of Gaza's population, as they bear the brunt of the war, going through a profound, ongoing, painful experience, and losing hope for a better future.

Lazzarini explained that a silent tragedy is unfolding in the West Bank, where security operations have led to widespread destruction of public infrastructure, de facto imposing collective punishment on the population.

The Commissioner-General also raised during his meetings with Member States in New York and Geneva the continuing attack on the Agency, noting that 223 UNRWA staff members have been killed so far and two-thirds of its facilities in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed.

This comes after the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT) released its ninth update on the damage to buildings in the Gaza Strip due to the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza. According to the analysis, based on high-resolution satellite imagery collected on September 3 and 6, 2024, two-thirds of all structures in the Gaza Strip have sustained damage.

By comparing recent imagery with earlier data, UNOSAT has provided a comprehensive overview of the destruction's evolution. The report indicated that 66% of the structures, totaling 163,778, have been affected. This included 52,564 buildings that have been destroyed, 18,913 severely damaged, 35,591 possibly damaged, and 56,710 moderately impacted.

Lazzarini also said that only UNRWA can provide education on a large scale to hundreds of thousands of girls and boys in the Gaza Strip, pointing out that UNRWA still suffers from a huge funding deficit.
