The total number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 41,689 martyrs and those injured to 96,625 since October 7, 2023, confirmed the Gaza Ministry of Health on the 362nd day of the war.

In its daily report, the ministry announced that the Israeli occupation forces perpetrated five massacres in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 51 martyrs and 165 injuries reported at hospitals in the past 24 hours.

It pointed out that the casualties that reached Gaza hospitals from massacres committed by the occupation forces against civilians during their incursion into areas in Khan Younis Governorate (Qizan al-Najjar - al-Manara - Ma'an) at dawn today are 51 martyrs and 82 wounded.

The ministry noted that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as rescue teams and civil defense are unable to reach them.

In a related context, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that nine people were killed, including a child, in an Israeli strike that targeted displaced civilians west of Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.

Six people were killed and others were injured in the Israeli bombing of the al-Amal Institute for Orphans, which shelters displaced persons west of Gaza City, our correspondent added.

Moreover, Israeli airstrikes on eastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip left several martyrs and injuries.

He added that Israeli occupation forces heavily opened fire in the southern area of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City, while Israeli warships heavily opened fire toward the coast of the city.

More women, children killed in Gaza than in any recent war: Report

A joint analysis by Oxfam and Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) released on Tuesday showed a significant surge in civilian deaths in Gaza over the past year, exceeding those of any other war in the last 20 years.

The report revealed that Israeli aggression has resulted in the deaths of more than 6,000 women and 11,000 children, marking a grim milestone in civilian casualties in war zones. The findings highlighted the severe impact of Israeli attacks on Gaza, with civilian infrastructure hit by explosive weapons every three hours on average since the beginning of the war.

AOAV's findings highlighted the widespread destruction across Gaza, where homes, shelters, schools, hospitals, and vital aid centers have been decimated. The ongoing aggression has left thousands of families mourning the loss of loved ones, while hundreds of thousands are displaced, as even "safe zones" have become targets of military strikes.

Dr. Iain Overton, AOAV’s executive director, condemned the situation as "appalling", criticizing the international community for its inaction in the face of such widespread devastation: “The scale of devastation in Gaza should be a wake-up call. The persistent bombardment of homes, schools, and hospitals with such alarming frequency demonstrates a blatant disregard for human life and international law.”
