Day 440 of Israeli genocide in Gaza: 45,129 killed, 107,338 injured
The Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip continues unabated, with dozens of Palestinians killed and wounded every day.
The Israeli occupation forces have killed 45,129 Palestinians, while another 107,338 have been injured since October 7, 2023, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on the 440th day of the ongoing Israeli genocide.
The Israeli occupation committed four massacres across the Gaza Strip in 24 hours, killing 32 Palestinians and injuring 94 others.
While some victims were transported to the few partially functioning hospitals, many remain trapped under the rubble or in areas inaccessible to ambulance and Civil Defense teams.
The Israeli genocide continues
Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling across the Gaza Strip have caused widespread devastation, with reports indicating over 30 deaths since early Thursday.
In the al-Shati refugee camp, located west of Gaza City, an Israeli drone strike targeted a group of civilians, resulting in the killing of 10 people, as reported by Al Mayadeen’s correspondent. Shortly after, a second attack in the same area struck near the al-Ahrar headquarters, killing at least five individuals.
In the northern Gaza Strip, our correspondent added that an Israeli airstrike near the Civil Administration checkpoint claimed three lives and injured others. Heavy gunfire by invading Israeli units was also reported in the al-Khulafa area of Jabalia refugee camp, along with artillery shelling in various locations.
Southern Gaza also faced intensified attacks, with Israeli forces opening fire, east of Khan Younis, and shelling areas in the al-Aabasan al-Kabira town.
Concurrently, a devastating airstrike in Jabalia killed 13 people when a residential home was targeted. In central Gaza City, strikes on the al-Daraj neighborhood left multiple casualties, while an airstrike on a home in the al-Maghazi refugee camp claimed two lives from the Darwish family.
Meanwhile, devastated hospitals across the region are struggling to cope with the influx of injured civilians. In northwest Gaza City, three injured individuals were brought to Al-Maamadani Hospital following an airstrike on Al-Jalaa Street.
In Jabalia town, an airstrike on Al-Nuzha Street resulted in the killing of six people and numerous injuries. Reports from Beit Lahia suggest severe casualties, though communication with the area remains limited.
The ongoing strikes have caused immense devastation, with humanitarian organizations warning of a worsening crisis in the besieged enclave.
In a related development, UNRWA, referencing dropsitenews, reported that over the past 14 months, "Israel" has been providing unverified intelligence to media organizations to justify attacks on civilian sites.
The agency also revealed that two-thirds of its facilities have been either damaged or destroyed, and nearly 260 of its staff members have been killed in the ongoing war.

Competing over killing civilians: Haaretz exposes IOF Gaza violations
Buildings that are marked as residences of Resistance fighters or "enemy deployment sites" in the Gaza Strip continue to appear on the army’s target list even after they have been attacked, the military affairs correspondent for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Yaniv Kubovich, revealed.
This, according to Kubovich, makes civilians who enter the same building prone to attacks and labeled as “terrorists” after they are killed by IOF fire.
Kubovich acknowledged that the Israeli army “is not accustomed to updating the target list in the Gaza Strip,” including the buildings that are no longer used by the Resistance, which means that anyone - even if they are not involved in acts of resistance - who enters the same building may be attacked by the IOF and labeled a “terrorist” after being killed, even if there is no longer any activity by the Resistance in the area.
He refuted the Israeli military claim since the beginning of the war that the number of Resistance fighters killed only included those who were confirmed to be fighters, asserting that “the testimonies of Israeli occupation soldiers who served in the Gaza Strip paint a strikingly different reality."
The Israeli journalist quoted an officer from an attack unit in an Israeli brigade, who participated in several rounds of fighting in the Gaza Strip, as saying that the instructions were that “the house of a fighter will continue to be considered as such even if he was killed six months ago,” but he claimed, according to the newspaper, that the IOF only started adopting this approach after realizing that Resistance fighters return to their homes and deployment points even if they were attacked.
Such attacks target anyone even those seeking shelter or a place to hide at the structure in question, according to the officer.
