The Supreme Islamic Committee and the Council of Scholars and Preachers - Beit Al-Maqdis issued a statement following the latest diplomatic developments between Morocco and "Israel," as per which Rabat and "Tel Aviv" signed a military and security agreement.

"We did not expect that a state chairing the Al-Quds Committee, an extension of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, to go down this slope that makes it seem like it does not realize the dangers befalling Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of al-Quds and the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil. And then we ponder on the future of the Al-Quds Committee?" the statement read.

The committee, denouncing the acts of the Moroccan authorities, saluted the people of Morocco over their rejection of normalization, underscoring support for the Moroccan Front for Support of Palestine, who organized a protest today in solidarity with the Palestinian people on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

The committee also saluted the Arab and Islamic people who stand with the legitimate rights of Palestinians, the occupied al-Quds, and the al-Aqsa mosque while at the same time rejecting normalization and surrendering.

The Moroccan Justice and Development Organisation called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to revoke the chairmanship of Morocco over the Al-Quds Committee after Rabat signed a security and military agreement with "Tel Aviv".

The organization's spokesman, Zaydan al-Qaani, called on the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Palestinian Authority, and all Palestinian factions to officially ask for revoking Morocco's chairmanship following the latest diplomatic development.

The organization highlighted the necessity of revoking the chairmanship and handing it to another Islamic country.
