CENTCOM claims Yemenis launched anti-ship BM, drones over Gulf of Aden
US central command says that the launches presented an "imminent threat" to both coalition forces and commercial vessels in the region.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed on Wednesday that coalition ships engaged with three drones and one anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) over the Gulf of Aden, launched by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
In a statement, CENTCOM said that three drones are estimated to have been launched between 11:02 pm and 11:48 pm on Tuesday, while the ASBM was launched around 5:00 am Wednesday.

The first and second UAVs were shot down, while the third one crashed, the statement continued, adding that no injuries or damages were reported by US vessels, their allies, or commercial ships.
"It was determined that these weapons presented an imminent threat to both coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region," the statement read.
This comes one day after CENTCOM said it shot down a drone launched from Yemen over the Red Sea.

Earlier, Sanaa announced initiating stage four of its operations in support of Palestine, which included two parts. The first part directly went into effect and expanded the scope of attacks to include the Mediterranean Sea, while Yemenis said the second part would be triggered in case of an Israeli invasion of Rafah.
The second part enforces a new equation that would hold the operator of any ship that docks in occupied Palestinian ports liable, and would make all its ships within the reach of the Yemeni Armed Forces a legitimate target.
