China's delegate to Vienna: Agreements are one step away
The Chinese delegate to the Vienna nuclear negotiation has confirmed that only a small step separates Iran from reaching an agreement with western nations.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent quoted the Chinese Vienna delegate telling reporters that the Vienna negotiations are in their last phase, and that only one small step separates Iran from an agreement with Western nations.
Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal reported that an agreement may be finalized "within the next couple of days", according to officials involved in the talks.
Iran, the US, and the P4+1 are close to an agreement to revive the JCPOA, despite there still being some significant hurdles that may be resolved.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi told his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, in a phone call, that the political claims being made to keep up the pressure against Tehran undermine the probability of reaching a deal and stressed that any agreement in Vienna must include sanctions removal, guarantees, and provide an end for pending issues and political claims.
Hours ago, the chief negotiator of Europe Enrique Mora tweeted that the end of the negotiations is near, citing that the result is still "uncertain".
#JCPOA #ViennaTalks are at a crucial moment. We are nearing the end after ten months of negotiations. The result is still uncertain. Key issues need to be fixed. But all delegations are fully engaged. Intense work in Coburg.

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed on Monday that talks have made some progress, but many serious and important issues remain stagnant.
