People's Liberation Army Warships, including a Type 075 amphibious assault ship, began arriving in Chinese coastal cities on Monday to prepare for public open-house events celebrating the upcoming PLA Navy founding anniversary.

The Hainan, the PLA Navy's first Type 075 amphibious assault ship commissioned in 2021, arrived at a port in its namesake province of South China's Hainan on Monday, China Central Television reported, with the vessel, with the key PLA Navy vessel set to welcome the public from Thursday to Saturday through online reservations.

Additionally, the Type 052D guided missile destroyer Nanjing and the Type 056A corvette Lu'an arrived in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, on Monday, for a scheduled public open-house event running Tuesday through Wednesday, according to CCTV. This marks the first time active-duty PLA Navy warships have returned to Taizhou, the historic birthplace of the Chinese navy.

Five warships from the PLA Northern Theater Command's navy, featuring the Type 052D guided missile destroyer Chengdu and the Type 054A guided missile frigate Linyi, arrived in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province, with plans to open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, according to CCTV reports.

This open-house event will showcase the PLA Navy's most diverse fleet to date, featuring an unprecedented variety of vessels, Xinhua reported.

Among the participating ships are the Type 075 amphibious assault ship, Type 071 transport dock, Type 052C/D guided missile destroyers, Type 054A frigates, Type 056A corvettes, Type 903 replenishment ships, and Type 22 missile boats, marking the largest and most comprehensive display in the Navy's open-house history.

The participating warships represent nearly all active surface combat vessel types in the PLA Navy's fleet, showcasing the comprehensive progress and modernization achievements of China's naval development, military expert Zhang Junshe told The Global Times, adding that the public will gain a closer look at the navy's growth, deepening their patriotic spirit
