Venezuela's Foreign Minister has revealed that the CIA is conspiring with the Venezuelan extreme right to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuelan ministers dismissed the "concerns" expressed by the United States government regarding the situation of Rocio San Miguel, the President of the NGO Citizen Control. The latter was detained on Friday in connection with the White Bracelet conspiracy case.

"The shameless narrative whereby you try to ignore the country's laws and the legitimacy of a sovereign State never ceases to amaze. At this point everyone knows you have always been part of the strategy to isolate and sanction Venezuela," Communications Minister Freddy Nanez said, in reference to the NGOs operating as associates of the US Department of State.

Unveiling CIA plots: Insights into covert schemes

In relation to the White Bracelet case, Yvan Gil, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, highlighted the involvement of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the recent attempts to destabilize Venezuela from abroad.

“The CIA and the DEA have been conspiring from Miami and Colombia, along with Venezuelan far-right opponents, to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino, and Governor Freddy Bernal, as well as to destabilize our country through violence, terrorist assault on military units, and other extremist atrocities,” Gil said.

“The U.S. government comes out to protect terrorists who have confessed to their crimes and the orders they received to harm our people. They are accomplices of the intellectual and material authors of the acts of terrorism and interventionism in Venezuela,” he added.

On Tuesday, Attorney General Saab condemned an intense foreign-led campaign against the Venezuelan state and judiciary, orchestrated by the same factions that have consistently shown disdain for democratic institutions.

"Justice is the path to peace. Those voices seeking to endorse crimes and attacks against the Venezuelan people and nation have been and will be defeated again by the peaceful and democratic convictions of the majority of the country," he added.

Not an isolated incident

On January 15, Maduro condemned what he described as a coup-related and violent agenda pursued by the extreme right-wing elements in Venezuela. The Venezuelan President specifically referenced four conspiracies that were scheduled to unfold in 2023 and on January 1, 2024.

Maduro also revealed that journalists from the Mayan IVC Networks channel were aware of the assassination plans and a planned assault involving mercenaries from abroad and Venezuelan military personnel stationed at the 21st Brigade in San Cristóbal.

At the time, Maduro even disclosed that the initial action, which had been documented by the Network, aimed to assassinate the Governor of Táchira State, Freddy Bernal, before the terrorists proceeded to Caracas in a manner reminiscent of the American entry into Baghdad. Maduro highlighted that the conspirators underestimated the potential consequences of their actions.

These plots, according to Maduro, were detected in May, August, November, and December 2023. The objectives were clear: assassinating President Maduro, Minister Padrino Lopez, and other key leaders in Venezuela. The conspirators, Maduro said, planned these destabilizing actions from locations in Miami and Colombia, and the CIA and DEA offices in Colombia were implicated.
