Last May, the Colombian President announced cutting ties with "Israel" for having a "genocidal" president".
Petro later announced in June the suspension of coal exports to the occupation entity.
In a social media post then, he stated that exports would cease "until the genocide is stopped."
His decision then came after "Israel" committed a horrific massacre in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, killing over 200 Palestinians and wounding dozens of others.
Bolivia, Chile, and Belize have also severed diplomatic relations with Israel over its ongoing brutal war in Gaza.

The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said on Saturday in its daily report that, on day 317 of the genocide in Gaza, the total number of Palestinians killed since the Israeli war on the Strip started on October 7 has risen to 40,099, in addition to 92,609 injuries.
"Israel" committed two massacres in 24 hours, killing 25 Palestinians and injuring 72 others, the ministry added.
While some were transported to partially functioning hospitals, many Palesitians remain trapped beneath the rubble with rescue crews unable to reach them.
