Colorado lawyer sues Justice Dept. for holding Hunter Biden data
Kevin Evans, a Colorado lawyer, filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department after his request for information was denied.
A Colorado attorney, Kevin Evans, sued the Justice Department in March, claiming that it attempted to shove under the rug hundreds of "potentially responsive" reports that recorded gifts received by first son Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden from Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian contacts. ​
According to the Daily Mail, Evans filed the lawsuit after the department failed to respond to his Freedom of Information Act request for data “pertaining to any relationship, communication, gift(s), and/or remuneration in any form​” for the individual mentioned above.
Evans claimed that federal government attorneys confessed in court to possessing at least 400 pages of "potentially responsive" records, but now say they can "neither confirm nor deny" the existence of this data.
Hunter Biden hires the Clinton lawyer ahead of investigations
Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden's son, has added, On December 22, a renowned Washington lawyer, as per US media reports, who previously worked for former President Bill Clinton and Jared Kushner, to his legal team.
According to the report, Hunter Biden has retained Winston & Strawn's attorney Abbe Lowell to oversee and coordinate his response to anticipated oversight probes by the House committees, which will be headed by GOP from the beginning of January.
Previously, Lowell has represented Jared Kushner in congressional investigations, as well as former President Clinton and former Democratic senators John Edwards and Bob Menendez.
