Continued Protests in Tunisia Against Saeid's Measures
Amid intense security measures, a new Tunisian protest took place in the capital by Tunisian parties
Al Mayadeen correspondent in Tunisia reported protests in the heart of Tunisia's capital, amid intense security reinforcements on Habib Bourguiba Avenue.
A photographer was injured after demonstrators attacked policemen present in the area, in an attempt to provoke them, and threw water bottles and stones at the national tv crew.
As the number of demonstrators increased, their positions in the capital's core spread to other streets. According to the demonstrators, security personnel had closed several of the routes leading to Habib Bourguiba Avenue.

The protesters were stationed in front of the Municipal Theater building, where they chanted chants criticizing the extraordinary measures and urging the President of the Republic to implement the constitution.
The Secretary-General of the Republican Party, Issam Chebbi, stated that the demonstrations are aimed at "Saving Tunisia," stressing that what Saeid is doing is contrary to the constitution, and an illegal monopoly on power, hinting that Saeid's aim is to return to a dictatorship.
On Sunday, Tunisian President Kais Saeid confirmed that the government will be formed in the coming hours, stressing that Tunisia is not “under the tutelage of anyone.”
It is noteworthy that gatherings have been ongoing for weeks protesting the exceptional measures taken by President Kais Saeid, which he ordered on July 25, and extended on September 22.
