Cuba, Venezuela condemn Israeli attacks on Syria
This joint stance of Cuba and Venezuela underscores the growing international criticism of the Israeli aggression on Syria and Lebanon.
Both Cuba and Venezuela issued strong condemnations on Thursday evening of "Israel's" repeated attacks on Syria and Lebanon, describing them as blatant violations of international law. The two countries expressed deep concern over the ongoing aggression, which has led to significant casualties and damage in the targeted regions.
Both governments emphasized the importance of upholding international legal frameworks and called for immediate action to stop such attacks.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez condemned the Israeli attacks on Syria and Lebanon through a statement on X.
In his post, Rodríguez expressed Cuba's firm opposition to the military actions, highlighting that some of the strikes occurred near Cuba's two embassies, leading to the loss of dozens of lives.
Rechazamos ataques israelíes vs #Líbano y #Siria, incluso próximos a embajadas cubanas, q han provocado decenas de fallecidos

The Cuban foreign minister firmly stated that it is unreasonable and unacceptable for the United States to offer immunity to any party involved in bombing multiple countries, thereby blatantly violating both international and humanitarian law.
Venezuela strongly denounces Israeli aggression
Venezuela also condemned the Israeli attacks, with particular focus on the one carried out on Thursday, which resulted in 15 martyrs and left 16 others injured, including women and children. The strike targeted key government buildings and diplomatic missions, including the official residence of the Venezuelan ambassador in Damascus, causing extensive material damage.
The Latin American country described this latest Israeli assault as "part of a series of systematic violations of sovereign nations' rights, threatening both regional and global peace and security."
In addition, Venezuela reiterated its condemnation of the Israeli violations of international law and human rights, urging the international community to take collective action to stop these assaults. The Venezuelan government also condemned terrorism in all its forms, highlighting it as one of the most severe threats to global peace and security.
Expressing solidarity with Damascus, Carcass extended condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
Israeli aggression on Syria kills 15, injures 16; PIJ mourns members
A Syrian military source confirmed on Thursday that 15 people were killed and 16 others injured, including women and children, following an Israeli aggression on Syria .
The source stated that "around 3:20 pm today, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial attack from the direction of the occupied Golan, targeting several residential buildings in the Mazzeh neighborhood in Damascus and Qudsaya, a town in the Damascus countryside."
In addition to the casualties, the source reported significant material damage to private properties, as well as to the targeted and neighboring buildings due to the occupation's aggression.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Damascus confirmed that the Israeli aggression targeted the Yafa Youth Development Center affiliated with Palestinian Youth in Qudsaya, Damascus' countryside, resulting in injuries as an initial toll.
Later, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ) mourned a number of its members who were martyred in the Israeli aggression that targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Thursday evening.
The PIJ considered that "the barbaric aggression launched by the enemy army against a number of civilian institutions and residential homes comes within the framework of its ongoing crimes against the peoples of our nation," explaining that "it reflects the failure of the enemy army in confronting the Resistance forces on the ground, especially in Gaza and South Lebanon."
The Islamic Jihad movement considered that "the lies spread by the enemy army claiming that it targeted the movement's military headquarters and centers are mere fabrications," stressing that such attacks will only increase the movement's "determination and resolve to pursue the path of struggle and resistance, as we were before and during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood."
