Israeli aggression on Syria kills 15, injures 16; PIJ mourns members
The Israeli occupation's aggression of Syria's Damascus targeted the Yafa Youth Development Center affiliated with Palestinian Youth, claiming the lives of 15 people.
A Syrian military source confirmed that 15 people were martyred and 16 others, including women and children, were injured in an initial toll following an Israeli occupation aggression on Syria.
The source stated that "around 3:20 p.m. today, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial attack from the direction of the occupied Golan, targeting several residential buildings in the Mazzeh neighborhood in Damascus and Qudsaya, a town in the Damascus countryside."
In addition to the casualties, the source reported significant material damage to private properties, as well as to the targeted and neighboring buildings due to the occupation's aggression.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Damascus confirmed that the Israeli aggression targeted the Yafa Youth Development Center affiliated with Palestinian Youth in Qudsaya, Damascus' countryside, resulting in injuries in an initial toll.
Later, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ) mourned a number of its members who were martyred in the Israeli aggression that targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Thursday evening.
The PIJ considered that "the barbaric aggression launched by the enemy army against a number of civilian institutions and residential homes comes within the framework of its ongoing crimes against the peoples of our nation," explaining that "it reflects the failure of the enemy army in confronting the Resistance forces on the ground, especially in Gaza and South Lebanon."
The Islamic Jihad movement considered that "the lies spread by the enemy army claiming that it targeted the movement's military headquarters and centers are mere fabrications," stressing that such attacks will only increase the movement's "determination and resolve to pursue the path of Jihad and resistance, as we were before and during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood."
Israeli airstrikes target Al-Qusayr near Syrian-Lebanese border
The Israeli aggression on Syria is ongoing concurrently with "Israel's" wars on Gaza and Lebanon. Earlier, on Wednesday, an Israeli occupation aircraft launched airstrikes targeting the al-Qusayr neighborhood in Syria's Homs Province early in the morning.
According to reports by Syria's state news agency, SANA, Syrian air defense systems responded to the assault.
SANA reported that the Israeli airstrikes damaged critical border infrastructure, with bridges and roads along the Lebanese-Syrian frontier bearing the brunt of the attack.
The strikes specifically hit bridges over the Assi River and strategic roads in al-Qusayr, a town known for its proximity to major routes leading into Lebanon.
This comes as the latest in "Israel's" ongoing pattern of aggression against Syria.
