Cuba on Tuesday denounced "Israel's" ongoing territorial aggression in southern Lebanon, condemning the construction of illegal walls that restrict access to Lebanese land. The statement was issued by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla on X.
Rodríguez said the building of these "illegal walls" constitutes a grave breach of international law and a direct assault on Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He noted that Havana views the move as part of a broader pattern of Israeli encroachment and unilateral attempts to reshape the situation along the border.

The condemnation comes amid continued Israeli construction along the southern Lebanese frontier, activity that UNIFIL has repeatedly criticized for breaching the UN-demarcated Blue Line and violating UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
A UNIFIL geospatial survey conducted in October revealed that a concrete T-wall erected by Israeli forces southwest of Yaroun extended beyond the Blue Line, cutting off more than 4,000 square meters of Lebanese territory.
Despite UNIFIL’s formal request for its removal, construction continued. In November, peacekeepers documented additional extensions of the wall southeast of Yaroun, again confirming that sections were built inside Lebanon.
Border Violations
UNIFIL also recorded another wall under construction between Aytaroun and Maroun al-Ras, part of a series of unilateral modifications carried out by the Israeli occupation in the border area, alterations that directly contravene established UN resolutions and heighten the risk of escalation.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has instructed Foreign Minister Youssef Rajy to direct Lebanon's permanent mission to the United Nations to file an official complaint against "Israel" over these violations, backing it with UN findings that clearly refute the occupation’s denial of the wall’s construction inside Lebanese territory.
