Cuba opposes anti-Iran sanctions, rejects US interference: Cuban FM
Parilla decries the exploitation of human rights as an excuse to impose sanctions for merely political reasons.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla asserted his country's position against the anti-Iranian sanctions in support of recent riots.
Parilla tweeted on Monday night: "#Cuba opposes the imposition of unilateral US sanctions against Iran and attempts to subvert the internal order of this nation," adding, "We reject interference in the internal affairs of other States and the manipulation of human rights for political ends."

Rechazamos la injerencia en los asuntos internos de otros Estados y la manipulación de los derechos humanos con fines políticos.
Several countries such as the US have enforced illegal sanctions on multiple Iranian individuals, companies, and entities with the excuse of defending human rights.
The US, proven to have supported the riots, claims that the talks concerning removing sanctions against Iran have ended, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani commented that "they are both hypocrites and liars."
After US President Joe Biden asserted his position earlier this month on imposing "further costs" in response to the death of Mahsa Amini, Iran called the US out for "hypocrisy" on human rights as well.
Kanaani condemned the sanctions on October 16 after they were imposed, describing them as violations of international law and straight interference. He said in an Instagram post, hitting at the US sanctions as well, that "Biden's support for protests and rioters is a blatant interference in our internal affairs, which we categorically refuse."
Iran previously has done the same for US sanctions against Cuba, as Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian condemned the sanctions, and while pointing to the extent of the US unilateral sanctions against the two countries, he stressed the need to draw on their shared experiences in neutralizing sanctions. He called Cuba a strategic partner of Iran and called for expanding cooperation in various fields.
