Cuban president leads major Pro-Palestine rally in Havana
The rally, which drew around 10,000 participants, also saw Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, Parliament Speaker Esteban Lazo, and various ministers and high-ranking officials attending.
Thousands gathered in Havana on Tuesday to show solidarity with Palestinians and call for an end to Israeli aggression, led by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
In a post on X, Diaz-Canel expressed strong opposition to the genocide occurring in Gaza and Lebanon, condemning "Israel's" actions against the Palestinian people and the impunity enjoyed by those responsible for these atrocities.

He emphasized Cuba's commitment to its longstanding demand to reject exploitation and put an end to the philosophy of war.
The rally, which drew around 10,000 participants, also saw Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, Parliament Speaker Esteban Lazo, and various ministers and high-ranking officials attending.
Participants rallied outside the US embassy in Havana, waving Palestinian flags and chanting "Free Palestine."
On its part, the chair of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Fernando Gonzalez remarked in a talk with Sputnik, "Cuba and the entire world demand an end to the genocide, which could not have happened without the US government's support, and this must be acknowledged and condemned. Without US support, there never would have been the impunity with which people, children, women, and seniors are being killed and hospitals are being demolished."
Gonzalez further asserted that the US is promoting "Israel's" actions, warning that "internationalizing the Gaza Strip genocide that already is dangerously expanding into Lebanon and other territories" is being encouraged.
Cuba has recognized Palestine since 1988, and earlier this year backed a United Nations resolution supporting Palestine's admission as a UN member state.
Cuba president speaks to Al Mayadeen on Gaza, Resistance, world economy
Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel said that Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip amount to a "brutal genocide", stressing that the demands of the public must be listened to and that the genocide must be stopped.
Diaz-Canel made the remarks during an interview for Al Mayadeen on the sidelines of the Patria International Colloquium in the Cuban capital, Havana, last March.
"Cuba cannot abandon its condemnation and denunciation of what is happening in the Gaza Strip," the Cuban President stressed, noting that "history will condemn those who participate in the war and genocide there."
The Palestinian people "do not deserve what is happening to them," he stated, stressing that "everyone should raise their voices and find solutions to this genocide."
"The scenes depicted in pictures emerging [from Gaza] are extremely harsh, and this reaffirms our convictions in support of the Palestinian people and their cause. The Palestinians can always count on Cuba for this support," he added.
Concluding his interview for Al Mayadeen, the Cuban President extended his salutes to Palestinian mothers, confirming that "everyone in Cuba is a child of Palestine," asking for resistance to continue "since victory will be ours."
