At least 63 Palestinians were martyred while another 45 injured individuals were transferred to hospitals around the Gaza Strip from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced.

In its latest statistical report, the ministry said that the number of victims that fell as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip reached 33,545 martyrs and 76,094 injured people since October 7, 2023.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that eight people were martyred while others were injured in Israeli strikes that targeted the vicinity of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City. Moreover, Israeli gunboats targeted the al-Shati refugee camp to the west of the city, which led to the martyrdom of two Palestinians.

Our correspondent also said that Israeli artillery units shelled al-Zaytoun neighborhood to the southeast of Gaza City. In the southernmost city of Rafah, where upwards of a million Palestinians have taken refuge, six people were martyred while others were injured in shelling that directly targeted displaced civilians in the city.

In the central Gaza Strip, the Nuseirat refugee camp was also targeted by Israeli strikes, one of which directly hit a school and a residential building. The attack was followed by an influx of casualties to the al-Awda Hospital. Soon after, the Israeli occupation launched another shelling campaign on the camp. Israeli attack helicopters also participated in the attacks, firing their guns at the northern part of the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Earlier today, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) announced they launched a "targeted operation" against the Palestinian Resistance overnight on the outskirts of Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip where their troops have not been able to set foot yet.

According to the IOF, the Air Force and 215th Artillery Regiment struck dozens of alleged targets, including tunnel infrastructure, before troops of the 162nd Division’s 401st Armored Brigade, Nahal Infantry Brigade, and other units invaded the area. The attack on Nuseirat also coincided with widespread news in Israeli circles about a dangerous event that the occupation suffered from, although no confirmation of the incident or its aftermath has surfaced yet.

It is worth noting that the occupation has withdrawn most of its fighting brigades from the Strip, maintaining its presence on an axis that splits Gaza City from the rest of the territories' towns and camps. Instead, the occupation is now opting for heavy bombardment operations followed by raids into specific areas around the Gaza Strip.
