Amid heavy bombardment, IOF launch operation in Nuseirat, central Gaza
It claims the operation is being executed following intelligence showing alleged "terror infrastructure and many terrorists in the area," with no proof shown of said allegations.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) announced they launched a "targeted operation" against the Palestinian Resistance overnight on the outskirts of Nuseirat in the central Gaza where their troops have not been able to set foot yet.
According to the IOF, the Air Force and 215th Artillery Regiment struck dozens of alleged targets, including tunnel infrastructure, before troops of the 162nd Division’s 401st Armored Brigade, Nahal Infantry Brigade, and other units invaded the area.
It claimed that the operation is being executed based on intelligence showing alleged "terror infrastructure and many terrorists in the area," with no proof shown of said allegations.
It continued to say that its Nahal troops located a gunman coming out of a tunnel and alleged that he came heading toward them after which he was struck by a fighter jet.
The IOF further claimed that the 401st Brigade found several rocket launchers as well.

Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen's correspondent revealed that battles are still ongoing between the Resistance and the IOF in the areas of al-Mughraqa and al-Zahraa in Gaza.
Our correspondent added, "The occupation artillery targeted the minaret of the Hassan al-Banna Mosque in the new camp, west of Nuseirat, in the central Gaza Strip."
This comes mere days after Israeli media confirmed that the Israeli forces that had entered the southern Gaza Strip in recent months have withdrawn, as more than half a year has passed since the war began with "Israel" failing to achieve its stated objectives.
The 98th Division, comprising three brigades, including the 7th Armored Brigade, withdrew from Khan Younis after four months of confrontations there. This marked the first withdrawal since the commencement of the ground invasion.
The reports representing the occupation forces clarified that only one brigade, the Nahal Brigade, remained stationed in the Strip. It was emphasized that the Brigade's main task was to secure the "Netzarim" Corridor to impede the return of Gaza residents to the northern Strip.
