Day 279 in Gaza: 38,345 killed, 88,295 injured by 'Israel'
Gaza's Health Ministry announces that "Israel" committed two massacres against families in the past 24 hours, killing 50 and injuring 54.
The number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza since October 7 has risen to 38,345 martyrs, with 88,295 injured, the Ministry of Health in the Strip confirmed on Thursday.
In its daily report, the Ministry announced that "Israel" committed two massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, killing 50 and injuring 54 over the past 24 hours only.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Government Media Office in Gaza condemned the ongoing Israeli and US blockade on humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and goods into the Gaza Strip, now in its 65th consecutive day.
In a statement, the Media Office declared that the prevention of aid, coupled with the silence and complicity of numerous countries, constitutes a "grave humanitarian crime." The statement emphasized that the ongoing blockade endangers the lives of thousands of children, patients, and civilians, leaving their fate hanging in the balance. It added that hundreds of thousands of tons of aid and medical supplies remain piled up on the other side of Gaza's crossings, awaiting permission for entry.
The statement further noted that the blockade itself is a crime, reflecting a moral decline as various countries align themselves with the Israeli occupation and its immoral actions, contributing to the humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
For the third time, the Famine Review Committee (FRC) has reviewed an analysis carried out by a multi-agency, multi-sectoral analysis team to determine the current and projected acute food security situation in the #Gaza Strip.

The Media Office held the international community accountable for the blockade, urging immediate action to halt the policy of starvation, which it described as part of an ongoing genocide committed by the Israeli occupation with support from the United States. This blockade, it stated, has been targeting civilians, children, women, patients, and the starving population for ten consecutive months.
The statement warned that the escalation of the policy of starvation against the Palestinian people in Gaza would have catastrophic consequences for the region. It further highlighted that such a policy violates international laws, treaties, and conventions that prohibit and criminalize the use of starvation as a weapon of war, which is also considered a crime against humanity.
