Day 285: 38,794 killed, 89,364 injured
The Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres in 24 hours, killing 81 and injuring 198.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in its daily report on the 285th day of war that the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza due to the Israeli genocidal war ongoing since October 7 has now reached 38,794, in addition to 89,364 injuries.
Additionally, it confirmed that Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres in 24 hours, killing 81 and injuring 198. The ministry stressed that thousands of victims are still under the rubble on the streets, as the occupation forces continue to deliberately prevent ambulances and civil defense crews from reaching them.
Earlier today, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that two Palestinians were killed as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted the al-Shakoush area northwest of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip. Our correspondent reported that in the middle of the Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of the al-Bureij and al-Maghazi refugee camps.
Additionally, he noted that occupation forces' vehicles are present east of Deir al-Balah city, with helicopters opening fire north of the al-Nuseirat camp in central Gaza. He added that the occupation launched dozens of raids on the central region, concentrated in al-Nuseirat, also targeting the northwest of the new camp in al-Nuseirat.
Nine were martyred and dozens were injured when the occupation forces bombed the al-Nuseirat camp in Gaza.
The occupation's artillery also targeted the eastern areas of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, as well as the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent highlighted the severe water crisis in Deir al-Balah, noting that the area's last remaining wells have ceased operations due to fuel shortage. He pointed out that hunger has driven some people to eat grass and leaves, causing several cases of poisoning.
On their end, Doctors Without Borders confirmed that with each attack, medical teams in Gaza face immense pressures, exacerbated by a strained health system. The organization emphasized that hospitals in Gaza are lacking even the most basic necessities, which could result in more civilian casualties.
320 cases of severe burns in 48 Hours
In only 48 hours, more than 320 martyred and injured Palestinians were brought into hospitals in Gaza with severe burns due to "Israel's" usage of internationally prohibited weapons, according to Gaza's Government Media Office.
In a statement on Monday, it said that “These are unconventional and internationally prohibited weapons, (are) banned for use against humans, and mostly American-made," adding that the bodies were "severely burned due to the "Israeli occupation army's use of internationally prohibited weapons."
“According to medical estimates, the weapons used by the Israeli occupation army causing this type of third-degree burns are missiles and bombs known as thermal weapons or chemical weapons."
The Office highlighted that these weapons “cause a chemical reaction with the skin, leading to chemical erosion of tissues” in the body, causing severe pain and physical damage, “resulting in deadly burns within 27 hours or less," stressing that it strongly condemns the crimes done by the Israeli occupation against children, women, and civilians.
