Day 99: 23,843 martyrs, 60,317 injured in the Gaza Strip
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced a new toll of casualties in the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has released the latest toll of martyrs and injured in the Gaza Strip on the 99th day of the Israeli aggression.
Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the ministry, said that the occupation massacred 12 families in the Gaza Strip, killing 135 people and injuring another 312 in the last 24 hours. Al-Qudra said that a large number of victims remain under their rubble, in areas that emergency services cannot reach.
In total, the number of martyred individuals in the Gaza Strip has risen to 23,843 while 60,317 people were injured, according to the spokesperson.
Al-Qudra explained that the toll means that every 1 in 20 people living in the Gaza Strip have either been martyred, wounded, or reported missing due to the Israeli war on the Palestinian territory.
He said that Israeli actions in Gaza are the "most criminal and bloodthirsty throughout history," which has been clearly witnessed by the international community.
One of the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation resulted in the killing of 20 individuals in al-Daraj neighborhood, in Gaza City, whose bodies were retrieved earlier in the morning by the Civil Defense.

Communication cut again
Al Mayadeen's correspondent said earlier today that Israeli warplanes targeted residential buildings in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Israeli drones also bombarded the town of Aabsan to the east of Khan Younis, as emergency services transported multiple martyrs from the attacked sites.
On recently cut internet and communications services, our correspondent confirmed that these services remain unavailable, which has significantly affected families in the Gaza Strip whose members have been scattered all over the territory. The situation has also been detrimental to the health sector, specifically emergency services, which cannot be contacted and cannot effectively communicate together.
Furthermore, our correspondent revealed that most of the Israeli shelling on Friday overnight was concentrated on the Governate of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and the central Gaza Strip. The vicinity of al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, in Deir al-Balah, was also heavily targeted by occupation forces.
Currently, Resistance fighters are confronting an Israeli incursion into several towns in the Khan Younis Governorate, after a short period of relative quiet in terms of ground activity by occupation forces.
