Death toll in Gaza nears 60,000 martyrs as massacres continue

12 Palestinians have been killed and others injured in airstrikes and artillery shelling launched by Israeli occupation forces across the Gaza Strip on Friday.
Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the home of the al-Farra family in the al-Mahatta region in Khan Younis, southernmost Gaza, killing 10 of its members and injuring several others.
Israeli artillery targeted the al-Manara and al-Salam neighborhoods in Khan Younis, while warplanes raided the northern region of Rafah.
Two more people were martyred, and several others were injured as a result of a drone strike that targeted a group of residents in the al-Atatra area, west of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said in its daily report that 26 people were martyred, six of whom were recovered from under the rubble, and 106 others were injured in the past 24 hours.
According to the report, the death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 50,912 martyrs, while the number of injured stands at 115,981.
Israeli airstrikes kill 45 in Gaza, dozens in one massacre
On Wednesday, at least 45 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, according to an Al Mayadeen correspondent, with 35 of the fatalities recorded in the Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza following a horrific massacre committed by Israeli forces.
According to reports, Israeli warplanes launched midday strikes targeting a residential block consisting of eight adjacent homes in Shujaiya, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded, most of them women and children. Several people remain missing under the rubble.
In a separate attack in the same neighborhood, five people were killed and several others wounded when Israeli aircraft bombed the Abu Ghoneima family home near the Tariq Bin Ziyad Mosque.
Elsewhere in Gaza City, one Palestinian was killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a group of people near the al-Mahatta Mosque in the al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of the city.
