Demonstrations across Palestine against Biden's visit
Cities in the '1948 occupied territories and Gaza are witnessing a series of protests held against US President Joe Biden's latest visit to the region.
The Palestinian governorates are witnessing a series of demonstrations taking place in reaction to US President Joe Biden's visit to the region, especially within the '1948 occupied territories.
Political and popular forces called on citizens to gather in various governorates at different times across the occupied territories and to raise the Palestinian flag during those vigils condemning the visit.
The Palestinian Information Center said in a tweet, "We invite you to participate in a vigil against Biden's visit to the Palestinian territories, today, Thursday, at Shuhada Square, at 1:00 pm".

The Palestinian factions unanimously agreed that Biden's visit aims to serve the Israeli occupation and its interests in the region. It also aims to usurp the wealth of Arab peoples and countries for the entity's benefit.
On its part, the Palestinian Media Forum organized a sit-in in the center of Gaza City to demand justice for journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and to hold the perpetrators accountable for her assassination, coinciding with US President Joe Biden's visit to the region.
The Secretary of the Palestinian Media Forum, Muhammad Abu Qamar, demanded, during the stand in front of the Al-Jalaa Tower, which was grounded by the Israeli air force during the May 2021 war, that international human rights and international institutions should take a practical position by removing "Israel" from media and international forums as a result of the killing of journalist Abu Akleh.
He added, "The US bears responsibility and partnership for what Israel is committing against media professionals, and I call on the American president not to erase the traces of the assassination of journalist Sherine Abu Akleh."
For his part, Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qassem said, "The visit of US President Joe Biden to the region will only serve Israeli interests at the expense of the Palestinian cause, and it will target the living forces in the [nation]."
He pointed out that all the previous visits of US presidents to the region had always prioritized the interests of "Israel" over those of the Palestinian people, which constitutes an attempt to whitewash the entity's hostile behavior toward the Palestinian people.
Biden's visit began on Wednesday to the occupied Palestinian territories and is expected to continue until Friday. During his visit, Biden will not visit the city of Ramallah and decided to meet President Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem, where he plans to visit the Church of the Nativity.
