Detainee Jomaa Abou Ghanimeh killed in Israeli occupation prison
The Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society confirm the martyrdom of prisoner Jomaa Abu Ghanimeh, raising the number of Palestinian detainees who have been martyred inside the occupation's prisons since October 7th to 13.
The Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestine Prisoners' Society confirmed the martyrdom of prisoner Jomaa Abu Ghanimeh, who is 26 years old.
Abu Ghanimeh was detained in the al-Naqab region, located inside the '48 occupied Palestinian territories. He was announced to have been killed only five days after the Israeli occupation announced his transfer from his cell in "Eshel" prison to a hospital due to a critical health condition.
In a joint statement, the two organizations added that Abu Ghanimeh was detained in January by the Israeli occupation forces.

Moreover, they pointed out that with the martyrdom of Abu Ghanimeh, the number of martyred detainees that were killed by the occupation since October 7 rose to 13.
Significantly these murders resulted from torture, medical negligence, and other medical crimes. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the total number of detainees in Israeli occupation prisons has reached more than 9,100, including 3,558 administrative detainees.
According to the joint statement, the occupation media even revealed the martyrdom of detainees from Gaza in the occupation's camps, and until today the occupation continues to refuse to disclose their identities.
This genocidal practice comes in light of the occupation's continued implementation of its forced disappearance policy against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Commission and PPS further held the Israeli prison administration responsible for the martyrdom of Abu Ghanimeh, which continues to carry out systematic torture operations and medical crimes.
It is important to note that with the martyrdom of Abu Ghanimeh, the number of martyrs of the captive movement in the occupation's prisons since 1967 has risen to at least 250.
Daqqa transferred to hospital twice in 2 weeks amid medical negligence
The PPS announced earlier on March 13 that cancer-stricken Palestinian detainee Walid Daqqa was transferred to Assaf Harofeh Hospital, as his health further deteriorated following deliberate medical negligence.
Daqqa's family made an urgent appeal, explaining the urgency of his health situation. The family urged that Daqqa be considered at the top of the list of detainees in the first upcoming exchange deal, given his deteriorating medical conditions.
Daqqa is currently considered one of the most critical cases among the seriously ill Palestine detainees.
Moreover, the family confirmed that this is the second time within two weeks that he has been transferred to the aforementioned hospital due to his condition, pointing out that the Israeli occupation has been preventing his lawyers from visiting him.
