Diplomatic efforts must be utilized to halt Israeli crimes: Araghchi
During his visit to Cairo, the Iranian Foreign Minister called for the utilization of all diplomatic efforts to halt the ongoing Israeli crimes against Gaza and Lebanon.
During a meeting on Thursday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized the importance of utilizing all diplomatic efforts to prevent the escalation of the security situation in the region and to alleviate the suffering of the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
Araghchi also underscored the necessity of mobilizing all available resources to halt the crimes of the Israeli entity and to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to the displaced populations in Palestine and Lebanon.
He voiced his concern regarding the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli entity in Palestine and Lebanon.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that "Araghchi conveyed Iran's position on the security situation in the region and Tehran's diplomatic efforts to Sisi."
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi acknowledged that the security situation in the region is sensitive and emphasized the need to prevent further escalation.
El-Sisi emphasized the importance of upholding the sovereignty of all countries in the region while ensuring regional security and stability.
Iran-Egypt stressed on need to prevent escalation
On another note, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that "Araghchi held very useful talks with Sisi on regional developments."
In a post on X, he said that "the two sides stressed the need to stop the attacks and crimes in Gaza and Lebanon urgently, and to prevent the dangerous escalation that could drag the entire region into a war with devastating repercussions on all its countries."

He pointed out that they "demanded that humanitarian aid be delivered to the displaced immediately."
It is noteworthy that Araghchi is conducting a regional tour to several countries, including Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, and Jordan, "in order to stop the escalation and establish peace in the region in light of the escalation and regional developments."
The latest visit was to Amman, where he met with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, and emphasized the need for collective efforts to put an end to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime.
