Dozens killed in new Israeli massacre in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza
The Israeli occupation's military persists in its massacres against the Palestinian people in the besieged northern Gaza Strip.
More than 75 people, mostly women and children, were killed Friday in two new massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation military against the al-Baba and Ahmad families in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation committed these atrocities on the 420th day of its ongoing genocidal war, following nearly two months of blocking the entry of food and clean drinking water into northern Gaza.
Ambulance and medical services have also been completely cut off, rendering them virtually nonexistent.
Gaza's Civil Defense confirmed that the Israeli occupation has wiped out entire families in northern Gaza, leaving no trace of their whereabouts.
Survivors often remain trapped under rubble for extended periods, as rescue efforts are hindered by the lack of resources.
The Civil Defense also reported approximately 10,000 injured in northern Gaza alone over a 50-day period.
Meanwhile, the occupation continues its relentless bombardment across the Gaza Strip. In addition to ongoing artillery strikes on Beit Lahia, it targeted the Abu Sharia area south of the al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
In central Gaza, Israeli drones opened fire east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp. Five martyrs and several injured were transported to the al-Awda Hospital after the Israeli occupation targeted the new camp in al-Nuseirat.
Massacres continue throughout the night
Later, 10 Palestinians were martyred, and several others were injured last night in an airstrike by the occupation forces targeting an apartment in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza.
As the aggression on the Strip continues, Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces demolished residential buildings west of the Beit Lahia Project in northern Gaza.
Following a limited incursion, the occupation army withdrew from the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia after partially destroying it.
Additionally, Israeli occupation warplanes also bombed an apartment on al-Shuhada Street in central Gaza City.
In central Gaza, the occupation's naval forces opened fire west of al-Nuseirat refugee camp.
In the south, the occupation forces demolished residential buildings in the center of Rafah.
These casualties add to the toll of over 44,360 martyrs and 105,070 injured recorded since October 7, 2023, according to the latest statistics from Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
Gaza under most intensive bombardment of civilians since WW2: UNRWA
Earlier on Friday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that the Gaza Strip has been subjected to the heaviest bombardment targeting civilians since World War II.
In a statement issued to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, UNRWA highlighted the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza, describing the crisis as a continuation of the world's longest unresolved refugee issue.
The agency expressed grave concern over the lack of international deterrence to the ongoing violence.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, in a message shared on X, emphasized that "wars always affect the most vulnerable first."
He noted that at least 70% of those killed in the ongoing war in Gaza are women and children, including young girls.
Lazzarini revealed that the seven-week-long military operation in northern Gaza has displaced over 130,000 individuals. Many now seek refuge in abandoned homes, clinics, or destroyed shops, while some are forced to sleep in the open.
Across Gaza, approximately 50,000 pregnant women and many breastfeeding mothers face dire conditions amid unsanitary environments.
"Menstrual hygiene has become a hardship for most women and girls, with nearly 700,000 unable to access sanitary products due to scarcity or exorbitant costs," Lazzarini added. The price of basic items like soap has risen by an astounding 1,100%.
