Iran has strongly condemned the recent display of a drone inside the British Parliament that was falsely attributed to the Islamic Republic, slamming the move as a “pathetic scene staged by the Israeli lobby and its sponsors.”
The statement, published by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on X, comes amid growing criticism from Tehran over efforts to link Iran to alleged military activities in Europe. The remarks came after the Union Against Nuclear Iran organization presented the drone on Tuesday, marking the first public display of its kind in Europe.

The group claimed the drone was Iranian-made and referred to it as “a weapon that plays a pivotal role in Putin's war against Ukraine,” further alleging that the display “reminds us of Iran's role in supporting the Russian war and increases the threat to European security.”
According to Araghchi, those opposed to friendly relations between Iran and Europe are working to promote “fabricated narratives” that do not reflect the reality of longstanding bilateral relations, including the historical relationship between Iran and Poland.
Tehran reiterated its readiness to engage in working-level talks and to exchange documents that could help clarify the facts. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that such transparency is essential “in the face of this absurd spectacle.”
Iran maintains that the accusations leveled against it are politically motivated and serve the interests of external lobbies hostile to regional stability and international cooperation.
