Drone strikes Israeli spy HQ in Erbil, kills 3 officers: Israeli media
Israeli media says that attack targeted a headquarters for the Israeli 8200 Intelligence Corps Unit on December 31.
Three Israeli military intelligence officers were killed in a drone strike targeting their headquarters in Iraqi Kurdistan's Erbil, the Jerusalem Times reported on Thursday, confirming an earlier report published by Al Mayadeen on citing sources on the incdident.
The attack took place on New Year's Eve and targeted the center of operations of the Israeli 8200 Intelligence Corps unit, which is tasked with conducting surveillance and information-gathering missions.

On the day of the strike, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced carrying out four operations against several targets in response to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, one of which targeted a US military base near Erbil's airport.
At the time of the attack, 7 members of the unit were gathered, leaving the remaining officers wounded in various degrees.
According to the news site, all Israeli agents are holders of a US passport.
The Iraqi Resistance has been launching operations against US and Israeli targets in support of the people in Gaza for almost three months.
This was previously reported by Al Mayadeen sources on New Year's Eve.

In its latest report, the Gaza Government Media Office announced that the Israeli occupation had committed 1968 massacres in the Strip since October 7.
Meanwhile, according to the latest figures, 7,000 people were recorded missing, 70% of them being children and women, the office said.
This comes as the Ministry of Health reported this week that the number of people killed in the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza has risen to 23,469, mostly women and children.
