Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Egyptian Foreign Affairs, has once again highlighted concerns about the terrible consequences of "Israel's" continuous assault in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, warning of the significant implications to regional peace and security.

Abdelatty also encouraged the international community to take fast and decisive measures to ensure a long-term truce in Gaza and Lebanon, emphasizing Egypt's categorical rejection of any transgressions that jeopardize Lebanon's security and sovereignty.

The minister also advocated for additional humanitarian help to the Lebanese people, emphasizing the need to empower the Lebanese state and its institutions to carry out their obligations during the ongoing war.

He emphasized the necessity of adopting United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701 and asked all parties to follow it.

Resolution 1701, called for "Israel's" complete departure from southern Lebanon, stating that the Lebanese army and UN peacekeeping troops in Lebanon (UNIFIL) are the only military forces south of the Litani River, which is around 30 kilometers (20 miles) from Lebanon's southern border.

The World Health Organization declared on Saturday that Lebanon is grappling with a severe health crisis, revealing that 73 health sector workers have lost their lives due to the ongoing Israeli attacks.

In a statement shared on its X platform, the organization highlighted the alarming toll, "Lebanon is facing a health crisis. There are 1,974 dead, 9,384 wounded, and 346,209 displaced."

Israeli aggression on Lebanon continues to kill, injure civilians

At noon Saturday, an Israeli drone struck an area where Civil Defense and rescue operations attempted to lift the rubble following the intense aggression on Mrayjeh, in Beirut's Southern Suburb, forcing the crews to withdraw from the site immediately, as "Israel" stretched its tactics of obstructing all rescue efforts in Lebanon.

As the aggression continues, the Israeli occupation has launched around nine airstrikes since Friday night through Saturday morning on several areas in the Southern Suburb of Beirut, including Burj al-Barajneh, Rweis, the Sayyed al-Shuhada Complex, the vicinity of the Al-Qaem Complex, and Choueifat.

As a result, thick clouds of smoke can still be seen rising in the aftermath of the violent raids, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Beirut reported.

Footage circulated of one of the destroyed buildings targeted by the occupation in Sayyed Hadi Nasrallah Highway area in the Southern Suburb, as well as the destruction that was inflicted on the Sayyed al-Shuhada Complex, home to all sorts of national and religious celebrations, prior to the aggression.
