As the US keeps advertising that Russia intends to invade Ukraine, its bombers are training to use nuclear bombs against Russia, Russian MoD said.
US strategic bombers are training to use nuclear arms against Russia
On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu held a video conference with his Chinese counterpart, Wei Fenghe. Shoigu announced that this month, 10 US strategic bombers have trained to launch nuclear missiles against Russia.
The Russian defense minister Shoigu in the details said that "this month, during US strategic forces, exercise Global Thunder, ten strategic bombers practiced the option of using nuclear weapons against Russia almost simultaneously from the Western and Eastern directions," according to Sputnik.
The minister also noted that Russia has recorded a significant increase in the activity of US bombers near the country's eastern borders, with about 30 sorties detected this month. In 2019, there were only three such flights, Shoigu underlined.
Following the talks with his Chinese counterpart Wei Fenghe, the Russian minister said that "such actions of the US strategic bomber aviation pose a threat not only to Russia but also to China."
Both Russian and Chinese ministers agreed to intensify cooperation strategic exercises and patrols as a result of the talks.
US paints frightening image on Ukraine situation using false info: SVR
The US State Department is spreading false information about Russia's alleged troop buildup for a military invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said Monday.
"Recently, Washington officials have been actively intimidating the global community with Russia's alleged preparation for 'aggression' against Ukraine," the SVR said.
The apparatus also said incoming data shows that the United States has been bringing to its allies and partners "absolutely false information" regarding the concentration of forces on the territory of Russia for "a military invasion of Ukraine," the service added.
"These accusations are completely false," it asserted.
Kremlin: allegations of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine are false
On Sunday, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov slammed the United States for driving "hysteria" over a possible Russian invasion, after Western countries accused Moscow of amassing troops near the ex-Soviet country.
Peskov said on state television: "This hysteria is being whipped up artificially," adding that "those who have brought their armed forces from overseas are accusing us of unusual military activity on our own territory, that is, the United States."
The US delivers two naval vessels to Ukraine
The accusations of preparing an "invasion" were deemed as "absurd" by Kremlin; its fears that the west will use such pretext to pump weapons into the Ukrainian military did materialize as the US delivered two patrol boats to the Ukrainian navy.
Today, The Ukrainian navy said on Tuesday that two reconditioned former US Coast Guard patrol boats have arrived in the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Odesa to boost the Ukrainian navy.
Ukrainian Naval commander Oleksiy Neyizhpapa was quoted as saying: "We appreciate the contribution of the United States to deter the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine."
The two Island-class patrol boats are part of a $2.5 billion package of aid to Ukraine that had been undergoing since 2014 when the Crisis in Ukraine started.
