Ethiopia Airstrikes Tigray Capital for Fourth Day This Week
After an airstrike that took place on Wednesday, the Ethiopian government forces launched another on Tigray - allegedly on a TPLF training center.
The Ethiopian government renewed airstrikes on the capital of the war-ravaged Tigray region. This was the fourth day this week that the Ethiopian government forces air-struck Tigray, according to a government spokeswoman.
Friday's airstrike targeted a training center used by the Tigray People's Liberation Front, a rebellion against Addis Ababa.
The targeted training center allegedly served "as a battle network hub by the terrorist organization," as per Billene Seyoum, the government's spokeswoman.
The Ethiopian federal government forces launched Wednesday an air raid on Mekelle, the capital of Ethiopia's Tigray region. However, no casualties were reported.
AFP quoted a Mekelle resident as saying that the air raid destroyed an industrial site.
On Monday, an attack was confirmed in Mekelle, and a witness reported that three children were killed.
