Exclusive: Clashes renew in Al-Sinaa prison, Al-Hasakah
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Syria reports renewed clashes between SDF and ISIS members in the northern dormitories inside Al-Sinaa prison amid the flight of US-coalition aircraft over the prison.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported the renewed violent clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) forces and members of the ISIS, in the northern dormitories inside Al-Sinaa Prison, south of the city of Al-Hasakah.
Our correspondent added that the warplanes of the international coalition, led by the United States, carried out several raids in the vicinity of the prison.
That came despite the SDF announcing yesterday, Wednesday, completely seizing the Al-Sinaa prison in the Syrian Al-Hasakah Governorate.
Yesterday morning, more than 500 ISIS terrorists have surrendered to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) armed groups after the Al-Sinaa prison break that took place last Thursday in Syria's Al-Hasakah.
Close to 250 terrorists had barricaded themselves in a building following the prison break.
They surrendered to SDF forces who raided the building, raising the tally to 550. 300 ISIS terrorists had previously been captured on Monday.
ISIS began its attacks last Thursday when two car bombs exploded in front of the gates of Al-Sinaa prison for ISIS detainees, south of Al-Hasakah.
Moscow: Washington failed to guarantee the security of areas under its control in Syria
Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexei Zaitsev, said today, Thursday, that the United States failed to ensure security in the areas under its control in northeastern Syria.
Zaitsev added it is clear that neither the Americans nor the local Kurdish authorities are able to provide security in the territories they control in northeastern Syria.
Earlier, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Bashar Al-Jaafari accused the United States of sabotaging the Euphrates region in the northeast of the country.
According to statements reported by Reuters, Al-Jaafari said that the Americans "are experts" when it comes to destroying the "infrastructure in the Euphrates region." He added that the Americans are also "destroying the oil and gas infrastructure."
The Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that France, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Turkey, and "Israel" are all countries involved in occupying parts of Syria and violate international law by doing so.
Earlier, the US forces completely destroyed the building of the Technical Institute in the city of Al-Hasakah, under the pretext that fugitives from the Al-Sinaa prison were hiding there. The SDF armed groups, supported by it, imposed a total blockade on the city of Al-Hasakah preventing entry and exit to it.
