Exclusive: Egypt mediators try to establish ceasefire between occupation, Gaza
Sources told Al Mayadeen that Hamas sent a message to the Egyptians that any Israeli violations would prompt a response from the resistance.
Egyptian mediators are trying to pressure the Israeli occupation into not responding to the rockets fired from Gaza on Saturday by mistake, sources told Al Mayadeen.
"Hamas told the Egyptians that the Israeli occupation breaking the rules of conflict would prompt a response from the resistance," the sources reported, adding that the movement informed Egypt that there would be an escalation if the suffering of Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash goes on.
"Israel" has decided to respond: Israeli media
"Israel has decided to respond to the rockets launched from the Gaza strip," the Israeli Channel 7 reported.
On the other hand, Channel 12 said the occupation was preparing for the possibility of responding to the rockets launched from Gaza, but not with enough strength so that the south joins the conflict.
The channel's military correspondent said the security and military apparatus could not determine who launched the rockets nor why.
Channel 13's correspondent in the south of occupied Palestine said responding to the rockets launched from Gaza would be well-thought-out as not to disturb the relative state of calm in the Gaza envelope.
"Hamas told the Egyptian mediators if prisoner Abu Hawash is martyred, we would not be able to prevent Palestinian Islamic Jihad from responding," the channel's Arabic affairs correspondent said.
"Tensions are high in Gaza this evening. Hamas and PIJ are on high alert for an Israeli response, threatening with a response of their own," the correspondent added.
KAN: "Israel" does not accept Hamas's excuse
"Israel's" KAN quoted senior security sources as saying they "do not accept Hamas' excuse, as if the bad weather is what caused the two rockets to launch on their own."
However, the Israeli occupation's Communications Minister said, "I do not believe Hamas is responsible for the rockets' launching, but despite that, we must respond."
The director of Al Mayadeen's bureau in occupied Palestine said early Saturday the Israeli occupation forces announced receiving news about the launching of rockets from Gaza.
The rockets launched toward "Tel Aviv" on Saturday spontaneously launched due to the weather, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
The Israeli occupation forces said the rockets landed off the coast of occupied Yaffa, noting that they could be experimental.
Instructions to respond in case of Abu Hawash’s martyrdom
Sources had told Al Mayadeen that instructions to increase the readiness to respond in the event of the martyrdom of Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash who fell into a coma.
The same sources added that "Al-Quds Brigades raised the state of alert and announced general mobilization among its fighters in Gaza and the occupied West Bank”, emphasizing that "'Israel' bears full responsibility."
"Mediators have expressed their dissatisfaction with 'Israel's' intransigence," sources reported.
Al Mayadeen sources confirmed that “Islamic Jihad leadership exhausted all the legal means of political persuasion available to save the life of Abu Hawash."
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission had warned today that the health condition of the hunger-striking prisoner is deteriorating rapidly and has reached a very critical and dangerous stage.
