F-16 strikes by Israeli occupation leaves 2 Syrian soldiers injured
The Russian military reports that human and material damage are a result of the Israeli aggression on Damascus.
Storage facilities in Damascus were attacked on Tuesday night by two Israeli F-16 fighter jets leaving two Syrian soldiers injured, according to Oleg Gurinov, the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria.
During a briefing, the diplomat said: "From 00.26 to 00.36, two F-16 fighters of the Israeli air force launched an air strike on storage facilities located in the province of Damascus. Two Syrian soldiers were injured, and material damage was caused", adding that "During the day, 10 cases of violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019, were recorded, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles without coordination with Russia by the so-called international anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States".
According to Gurinov, four pairs of F-16 fighter jets and one MQ-1C surveillance drone of the coalition entered the Syrian airspace in the Al-Tanf nine times, an area where international air routes pass, stressing that this poses a hazard to civil aircraft maintaining regular flights in the area.
This morning, the Israeli occupation carried out aggressive attacks on the outskirts of the Syrian capital of Damascus, Syrian state news agency SANA reported as explosions were heard in the sky over the outskirts of the Syrian capital.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced later in the day that soldiers in the Syrian Arab Army sustained injuries due to the Israeli missile attack on the capital.

"The Israeli enemy carried out air aggression with a salvo of missiles from the northern part of the Occupied Golan Heights, striking at some objects in the vicinity of Damascus," the ministry said on social media.
"Our air defense systems responded to the aggressor's missiles and shot down most of them. As a result of the aggression, two soldiers were injured," the ministry said on social media," the government body added.
This is the second attack of this sort this month, and such acts of aggression are commonplace in Syria, with the Israeli occupation continuously violating the country's airspace. The Syrian air defense media repelled on July 2 an Israeli missile attack targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Homs.
