In a statement, the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition denounced the planned visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid to Bahrain, holding the Bahraini regime responsible for the consequences of the visit. The Coalition also emphasized the need for all forms of resistance against normalization until the concluded normalization agreements are canceled.

The statement also highlighted the necessity of upholding the slogan “Bahrainis against Normalization”, calling on all the people of Bahrain to show solidarity and unity by declaring their rejection of this visit that desecrates the land of Bahrain.

Reuters had cited a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry announcing that Lapid will fly to Bahrain on Thursday in the highest-level official Israeli visit to the Gulf state since the normalization agreement last year.

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid will inaugurate "Israel's" embassy in Manama and sign bilateral deals during the visit, according to Reuters.

Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates had signed on September 15, 2020, a US-brokered normalization agreement with “Israel” in Washington, in the presence of US President Donald Trump.
