Firearm applications skyrocket in “Israel” as PM advocates gun-use
Recent months have seen a steep rise in brutal attacks committed by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, amid a sharp spike in applications for gun licenses in recent weeks.
“Israel” has witnessed a sharp spike in applications for gun licenses in recent weeks, Israeli media reported.
More than 1,500 license applications were submitted last Wednesday, compared to a daily average of 60, according to Israeli Channel 12 news, citing Public Security Ministry data.
The data also revealed a significant increase in the number of people contacting the ministry to inquire about how to obtain a license.
This comes as the Israeli occupation PM Naftali Bennett incited Israeli settlers to carry weapons “to thwart any Palestinian operations”.
“What is expected of you, citizens of Israel? Alertness and responsibility. Open your eyes. Whoever has a license to carry a weapon, this is the time to carry it,” he said.
Recent months have seen a steep rise in brutal attacks committed by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers.
According to Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli settlers brutally attacked Palestinian homes in Al-Khalil late Saturday.
