Foreign embassies attempted to sabotage Sayyed Nasrallah's funeral: MP
Lebanese lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah tells Al Mayadeen that the scale of participation in the funeral reflected the people's love, sincerity, and unwavering commitment to the path of Resistance.

During his lifetime, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine regarded Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as a model and an exemplary leader, Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said on Monday.
Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, the martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, was laid to rest on Monday in his hometown of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, southern Lebanon, amid a massive public turnout.
During Al Mayadeen's special coverage of the funeral of the two martyrs Sayyed Nasrallah and Sayyed Safieddine, Fadlallah highlighted key moments in Sayyed Safieddine's journey, from his youth and religious studies in the Hawza of Qom to his return to Lebanon, his involvement in the Resistance and religious advocacy, and his deep connection with South Lebanon and its people.
Regarding the funeral processions of Hezbollah's two leaders and public turnout, the Lebanese lawmaker stressed that there was no intention to send any political, organizational, or popular messages, rather, it was purely meant to sincerely express loyalty and respect for the two great martyrs.
He affirmed that the scale of participation in the funeral reflected the people's love, sincerity, and unwavering commitment to the path of Resistance. He also pointed out that attendees came from various sects and regions across Lebanon, underscoring national unity and broad public support for the Resistance's cause.
'Fierce campaign' against massive funeral procession
MP Fadlallah also addressed the media campaign and efforts to obstruct the funeral of Sayyed Nasrallah and Sayyed Safieddine, revealing that a "fierce campaign was waged" against the funeral processions of the two martyrs.
He pointed to fearmongering by certain parties concerning weather conditions and security in an attempt to deter people from participating in the ceremonies.
Furthermore, he revealed that some foreign embassies had attempted to contact certain figures to dissuade them from attending the funeral.
