Fourth this week, Turkish drone strike kills three PKK militants
This is the fourth strike this week against the PKK, which the Iraqi Kurdish authorities have blamed on Ankara.
Iraqi Kurdish officials confirmed on Friday that a Turkish drone strike in northern Iraq killed three members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
For a quarter of a century, Ankara has maintained dozens of military bases in northern Iraq where it regularly conducts operations against PKK commanders and rear bases.
"A drone of the Turkish army targeted a PKK vehicle near Nalparez," a village in Sulaimaniyah province on the road to the Iranian border, the region's counter-terrorism department said in a statement.
"A senior PKK official, a fighter, and a driver were killed."

It was the fourth strike this week against the PKK that Iraqi Kurdish authorities have blamed on Ankara. As a result, six PKK militants have been killed.
Kurdish officials said on Wednesday that two Turkish drone strikes on Iraq's Kurdistan region killed two PKK militants.
The initial strike hit a vehicle belonging to the PKK near the village of Jalala in the province of Sulaimaniyah, killing a PKK "intelligence official" and injuring two other members of the group, according to the Kurdish counter-terrorism service.
The second strike targeted another vehicle carrying PKK militants near the village of Qalaa, killing a PKK member and injuring two others, the authorities added. The attack followed a strike on Sunday that led to the death of a PKK military official, the security service said.
On Thursday, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced that at least six soldiers had been killed in clashes with the PKK in northern Iraq.
